The purpose of this study is to find out the negative and positive effects of the economic-cultural differences in the art education views of the families who have different socio-economic levels and also to discover the parental effects on the creative activities of the students who took part in art education which constitutes a part of formal education in Primary Schools in Turkey. This study was conducted in three schools which have obvious socio-economic differences; Sıraç Aydın Taşbaş Primary School, Özel Diltaş Primary School and Şükriye Onsun Primary School. The study was carried out with three groups composed of 30 students and their parents. The socio-economic differences among students were found out by means of questionnaires. The questionnaires were legally prepared by professional pedagogues who carry out guidance studies and they were later applied to the subjects. In the first section, the subjects were asked to answer the questions that would help us evaluate their socio-economic situation comparatively. In the second section, the subjects were asked about their opinions on art, art education and creativity. Later on, a literature scan was conducted and an ?SPSS chi-square test? was used and the results were compared to the literature to see if there were similar outcomes and the cause and effect relationship. Finally, results of the study showed that the socio-economic differences in art education had effects on creativity. Positive environmental and parental factors, positive educational conditions, physical education opportunities and appropriate and up-to-date course materials contribute to success.
