Said B. Zeyd`in hayatı ve İslam tarihindeki yeri

Abstract

Tevhid akidesini temel gaye edinen slâm dininin saadet asrındaki mensupları tevhid ilkesini dünyaya yaymak uğruna can feda edercesine gayret sarf etmişler, bunu bir hayat memat meselesi kabul etmişler ve bu yola baş koymuşlardır. Saûd b. Zeyd, slâm'a girenlerin öncülerinden olmuş ve hayatını slâm'a adamıştır. Görevi nedeniyle katılamadığı Bedir savaşı dışındaki bütün savaşlara katılmış, Şam'ın fethi, Ecnadeyn, Fihl ve Yermûk muharebelerinde büyük yararlılıklar göstermiştir. Saûd, hem ilk Müslümanlardan olması hasebiyle hem de üstün özelliklere sahip olması açısından Şura heyetine giren kişilerin derecesine sahipti. Ancak amcasının oğlu ve eniştesi olması dolayısıyla, hakkında bir şaibe ve tereddüde yol açmamak için Hz. Ömer onu bu heyetin dışında bırakmıştır. Saûd, Hz. Ömer'in vefatından sonra ortaya çıkan hilâfet meselesinde Hz. Osman'ın adaylığını destekleyenler arasında idi. Hz. Osman halûfe olunca Saûd'e Kûfe'de bir yer ikta etmiş ve Saûd bir süre orada kalmıştır. Hz. Osman'dan sonra halûfe olan Hz. Ali'ye Medine halkı ile biat etmiştir. O, Müslümanlar arasındaki ihtilaflardan uzak durmuş, Hz. Ali ile Hz. Muaviye arasındaki mücadelede herhangi bir tarafı tutmayarak Akûk'teki çiftliğine çekilmiştir. Saûd b. Zeyd, Allah katında duası kabul olunan, kavmi arasında şerefli bir yere sahip olan, görüşüne başvurulan, aynı zamanda kahraman ve cesur birisidir. Saûd b. Zeyd, gerek yaşantısıyla gerekse üstün ahlakıyla biz Müslümanlar için örnek bir şahsiyettir.

The companions of slam religion during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, who considered the Monotheism Creed (Tawheed Aqeedah) as their primary aim, in the expense of their lives, exerted great efforts for the sake of spreaading the Tawheed doctrine across the world. They regarded this is a matter of life and death and put their hearts to his way. Said b. Zeyd was one of the pioneers who converted to slam and he devoted his life to slam. He fought in all the battles except for the battle of Badr in which he could not participate because of his duty. He served great help in the conquest of Damascus and in the battles of Ecnadeyn, Fihl and Yarmuk. As he was one of the first Muslims and had special features, Said enjoyed the same status as the members of Shura Board (mutual consultation commission). However, since Said was his uncle?s son and his brother-in-law, Omar put him out of the board in order not to arouse doubt and hesitation. In the caliphate issue which emerged after the decease of Omar, said was among the ones who supported the candidacy of Osman. When Osman became the caliph, he granted some soil to Said and stayed there for a time. With the citiziens of Madina, Said paid homage to Ali, who became the caliph after Osman. He avoided disputes among Muslims and did not take a side while Ali and Muaviya struggled. He withdrew himself to his farm in Akik and stayed there until his demise. Said b. Zeyd was a person whose prayers were accepted by Allah, and whose opinions were worty of cosulting. He had a decent position among the people. At the same time, he was bold and gallant. With both his way of life and his high morality, Said b. Zeyd is a role model for Muslims
