Sinema teknolojik gelişmelerden de yararlanarak kendine özgü bir dil oluşturabilmiştir. Dünya sineması içerisinde kendine bir yer arayan Türk sineması, gelişmeleri yakından takip edememiştir. 1980'lere kadar belirli kalıplar içerisinde sıkışan Türk sineması, 1990'larda azalan izleyiciyi tekrar salonlara çekmek için değişmeye başlamıştır. Bu değişim, teknik, konu, oyuncu gibi pek çok alanda görülmüştür. Değişimin en önemli filmlerinden biri olan Eşkıya, Türk sineması için umut ışığı olmuştur. ABSTRACT Cinema, is a kind of art which inserts the whole world into its magic, and is also an instrument of entertainment and education. Although it has been interactively affected by the other branches of the art, any branch of the art hasn't affected large populations as largely as cimema. Cinema has been able to gain a spesific language using also other technological developments. Turkish cinema, seeking an important site among the cinemas of other nations, hasn't closely been able to follow the developments over the technology, devices, scenario and cast, etc. Turkish cinema, keeping itself within certain limits until 1980s, started to alter its nature so as to attract Turkish audience into cinemas during 1990s. Turkish alteration occured in different areas, such as scenario, cast, technology, etc. "Eşkıya"(The Brigand), one of the important films of this alteration, has been a light for the hopeless Turkish cinema in the darkness.
