In this study, an open loop control system for control of an indexing turn table is designed and constructed. The system is composed of worm gear box, a controller device, a DC-step motor and a PC. The user supplies the output angle to the computer program. The PC outputs the necessary number of pulses to the controller device in order to realize the desired output angle. The controller device drives the step motor according to the number of pulses coming from the computer. The computer program is developed using C++ programming language. The controller device is designed and constructed by using MOFSET transistors in order to get rid of excess heating. As a result, it is observed that the precision of the output angles realized by PC controlled indexing table is sufficient, use of the system is easy. Also, the designed system is found economic and more advantageous compared to mechanical indexing tables in realizing various angles with sufficient precision.
