Konya merkez ve ilçelerinde ortaöğretim kurumlarında biyoloji derslerindeki morfoloji ve anatomi eğitimi

Abstract

Bu çalışma Konya merkez ve ilçelerindeki farklı tür liselerde genelde Biyoloji derslerinin özelde bu derslerdeki Anatomi ve Morfoloji konularının işlenişi ile ilgilidir. Çalışmada öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin bu bölümlerle ilgili problemlerini belirleyip, bu problemlerin çözümü için alternatif öneriler sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için öğrenci ve öğretmenlere anket uygulanmıştır. 440 öğrenci anketi ile 40 öğretmen anketi değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bu değerlendirmeler de dersin yeterli ilgiyi gördüğü, öğrencinin araştırma eğiliminde olduğu, metod konusunda ciddi bir problemin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ancak okullar arasındaki önemli farklılıktan dolayı özellikle karşılaştırmalı tablolarda anlamlı sonuçlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Meslek liselerinde, merkezi ve taşra normal liselerde gerek imkanların yetersiz olması, laboratuar araç - gereçlerinden mahrum olması, belli ölçüde öğrenci seviyesinin düşük olması, Biyoloji derslerinin ve Uygulamalı Biyolojinin seçtirilmemesi bu dersin sıradan bir ezber dersi olarak algılanması gibi sebeplerden dolayı verimin düşürüldüğünü göstermektedir. Bu verimi artırmak için öncelikle öğretmenlerin dersi sıkıcılıktan, ezbercilikten kurtarıp, öğrenciye sevdirmesi gerekmektedir. Bununla birlikte okullarda yeterli imkanların hazırlanmasına, hizmet içi kursların ciddi ve seviyeli tutulmasına, öğrencinin farklı projelerle araştırmaya yönlendirilmesine önemle ihtiyaç vardır.

In this study, generally the way biology but especially the subjects anatomy and morphology are taught in different kinds of high schools in Konya city center and towns has been examined. In this study it is aimed to determine the problems and try to find alternate solutions to these problems in the mentioned subjects. Some students and teachers have answered the questionnaire for this reason. The surveys of 40 teachers and 440 students have been evaluated. It has been determined in the surveys that the lesson receives sufficient interest, the students are eager to learn and search and there is no problem in the method the lesson is taught. But there are significant differences among the tables in contrast because of the different levels of the school. The success is low at vocational high schools, central and town high schools because of lack of facilities, lack of laboratory devices and the low level of the students, not to allow the student to select biology lesson as an option ad not to provide the students laboratory practice, the students regard this lesson as an ordinary reading lesson. To improve the success, first the teachers should make the lesson interesting and get the students to love the lesson. Meanwhile the schools should be equipped with necessary facilities, the in-course for teachers should be at high level and the students should be lead to searching by giving different projects.
