Konya Ereğli Müzesi cam eserleri

Abstract

Yurt dışında ve ülkemizde birçok müzede yer alan pişmiş toprak, taş ve metal eserler gibi tıpkı cam eserler de oldukça önemli arkeolojik buluntulardan biridir. Bu eserler kimi zaman cam kap olarak çeşitli amaçlarda kullanırken kimi zaman da süs eşyası olarak kullanılmışlardır. İlk olarak kimlerin bulduğu ve ne zaman kullanılmaya başlandığı tam olarak bilinmeyen camın hikayesi M.Ö. 2. bine dayanmaktadır. İlk örneklerinin Mezopotamya'da bulunması sebebiyle camın bu topraklarda ortaya çıktığı kabul edilmektedir. Çeşitli uygarlıklar ve coğrafyalarda kullanılmaya başlanan cam, esas etkisini Roma Dönemi'nde göstermiştir. M.Ö. 1. yüzyılda serbest üfleme tekniğinin bulunması ile beraber cam eserlerin gerek sayısında gerekse de üretim merkezlerinde olağanüstü bir artış olmuştur. Bazı süreçlerde kesintiye uğrasa da cam, uzunca bir süre insanoğluna hizmet etmiş ve etmeye de devam etmektedir. Ereğli Müzesi'nde toplam 101 adet cam eser yer almaktadır. Bu eserlerden 66'sı cam kap olarak değerlendirilmiş 35 tanesi ise takı ve diğer cam eserler grubuna dahil edilmiştir. Bu cam eserler içerisinde alabastron, amphoriskos, şişe, sürahi, tabak, bardak, unguentarium, merhem kabı gibi camlar yer alırken bilezik, pendant gibi objeler takı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Son olarak düğme ve ağırlık müzedeki diğer cam eserler olarak ele alınmıştır. Eserlerimiz üzerine yaptığımız çalışma neticesinde bu 101 adet cam eserin formu, işlevi, tarihi ve kökenini saptamaya çalıştık. Elde ettiğimiz veriler bu çalışma sonucunca bilim dünyasına tanıtılacaktır.

Glass artifacts, such as terracotta, stone and metal artifacts, which are found in many museums abroad and in our country, are also one of the most important archaeological finds. These artifacts were sometimes used as glass containers for various purposes while others were used as ornaments. The story of the glass, which was first discovered and unknown, by whom it was found and when it began to be used, It is based on the second millenium B.C. It is accepted that the glass emerged in these lands because of the first examples being found in Mesopotamia. The glass, which started to be used in various civilizations and geographies, showed its main effect in the Roman period. With the discovery of the free blowing technique in the 1st century B.C. there was an extraordinary increase in the number of glass works, as well as in the production centers. In some processes, the glass has been in service for a long time and has continued to do so. Eregli Museum has a total of 101 pieces of glass works. 66 of these works were evaluated as glass vessels and 35 of them were included in jewelry and other glass works. Glass objects such as alabastron, amphoriskos, bottles, jugs, plates, cups, unguentarium, ointment shells were considered as jewelry, such as bracelets and pendants. Finally, the button and weight are treated as other glass objects in the museum. We tried to determine the form, function, history and origins of these 101 glass works on the basis of our work on our works. The data we obtain will be introduced to the world of science as a result of this study.
