Çocuk kitapları çocukların eğitiminde vazgeçilmez bir araç olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, Türkiye'de 1995-2002 yılları arasında telif olarak yayımlanan okul öncesi hikaye kitaplarındaki bazı kavramlar içerik ve biçimsel olarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın kuramsal çerçevesini oluşturmak için yerli ve yabancı kaynaklar taranmıştır. Kitapların incelenmesinde kullanılan değerlendirme formu uzman görüşleri alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Hikaye kitapları araştırmacı tarafından tek tek hazırlanan forma göre okunup, değerlendirilmiştir. ilk bölümde problem, amaç ve alt amaçlar, önem ve gerekçe, sayımlar, sınırlılıklar, tanımlar bulunmaktadır. ikinci bolümde araştırmanın içeriğini oluşturan okul öncesi dönem çocuk gelişimi, çocuk gelişiminde kitabın önemi, okul öncesi çocuk yayınlarının türleri, okul öncesi çocuk yayınlarının özellikleri (içerik ve şekil özellikleri) ve çocuğa etkileri ile ilgili kuramsal bilgilere yer verilmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde yöntem; araştırma modeli, evren ve örneklem, verilerin toplanması, verilerin çözümlenmesi ve yorumlanması yer almaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde bulgular ve yorumlar bulunmaktadır. Beşinci bölümde ise araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara dayalı olarak genel sonuç ve önerilere yer verilmektedir. Araştırmada kullanılan değerlendirme formu ve kitap listeleri eklerde yer almaktadır.
Child books are always used as an indispensable means in child development. In this research, some concepts in the pre-school story books published as original works between 1995-2002 have been examined both as a form and content. To make the theoretical frame of the research, native and foreign sources have been scanned. For the evaluation form used in the examination of the books, it has also been applied to expert’s opinions. Story books have been read and evaluated one by one according to this form. In the first section, there have been the problem, target and sub-targets, importance and grounds, hypothesises, limitations, and descriptions.
In the second section there have been theoretical information about pre-school period child development , the importance of book in child development, kinds of pre-school children publications, characteristics of pre-school children publications (content and form) and the effects on the child, all of which constitutes the content of the research. The third section includes the method; research model; population and sampling; collecting, analysing and interpreting the data. In the fourth section, there have been the findings and interpretations. Finally the fifth section includes the general conclusion and suggestions based on the findings as a result of the research. The evaluation form and the book list used in the research are included in the appendix.
