Aim of this study is the analyzing of social acceptance process of urban refugees by local population that is the major problem for local integration in local communities. For this purpose, after theoretical framework, variables and subjects affecting the level of social acceptance were analyzed within a sample consisting of 600 people in the case of Konya province. The data obtained by survey method. According to the findings, social acceptance level of refugees by local population was determined in a very low degree. Also, social acceptance level varied according to demographic and socioeconomic variables. It was determined that social acceptance process differentiated with variables like gender, education, political choice, sense of belonging to the city of residence and residence time and contact and constant relationship with refugees. However, differentiation was not determined between neighborhoods intensely inhabited by refugees and the other neighborhoods. Similarly, significant differences were not observed according to age and income level of participants.
