The phenomenon of the globalization; which has emerged after the second half of the twentieth century by the transformations of capitalism, has affected the political, economical, ideological, and of course, cultural spheres. The concept of globalization has assumed that world cultures are becoming increasinly the same all over of the world. ( Featherstone; 1990). Thus, according the theorist of globalization, for instance Welsch ( 1999), globalization provides a uniformiza-tion of different cultures in the world. Finally; globalization has been provided reconstruction of consumption culture in the twentieth century. The Consumption culture is an artificial culture created for consuming the excess production resulting from the global economic relations. This artificial culture presents the new identities for consumers, and moreover, this culture has inoculated " new values of consumption " to the society. Consequently, the consumption culture have been founders of new world order which has established after the globalization process ( Chomsky; 2000) The transfer of consumption culture to the societies is achieved by the multinational media cor-porations eqipped with advanced technologies. This situation has created cultural dependency for the developing countries. In this article, has been investigated cultural industries role's and function's in the consumption culture and finally the writer has been to reminded " theory of responsibility " to the cultural industries.
