Çocuklar içlerinde saf ve masum duyguları barındıran çok özel insanlardır. Her çocuk bir aileyi simgeler. Çizilen resimler çocuğun yaşadığı aileyi tanıma fırsatı sağlarken, çocuğun varsa çeşitli psikolojik sorunlarını da gündeme getirir. Onlar sözel olarak anlatmakta zorlandıkları veya çekindikleri durumları resimleriyle dile getirirler. Çocuklar genel olarak 2 yaşından itibaren kalem tutup verilen kâğıda çeşitli karalamalar yapmaya başlarlar. Ancak bu çizimler çocuğun yaşamına dair net bilgiler vermez. Nitekim 4 yaşına gelen çocuk şema öncesi döneminde etkisi ve hayal gücünün desteği ile bize sahip olduğu aile hakkında anlamamızı kolaylaştıran çizimler yapar. Çocukların çizdikleri aile konulu resimler, içinde yaşanılan sosyal çevrenin çocuk üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesinde araç olarak kullanılabilir. Unutmayalım ki her çocuk bir ailedir. Bu çalışma 4-7 yaş çocukların çizmiş oldukları resimlerden aile yaşantılarının duygusal yönlerini çizdikleri resimler yoluyla anlamlandırmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.
Children are special people who include innocent and pure feelings. Each child symbolizes a family. The drawings provide an opportunity for knowing his family. Besides, it brings his psychological problems up if he has. Children express situations and feelings, which they have difficulty in explaining verbally or they abstain from, with their drawings. Children usually hold pencil at the age of 2 and then start to do various scribbles on the paper that is given. But, these drawings do not give the specific knowledge about his life. However, a child who is 4 years old does drawings which facilitate our understanding his family with the support of his imagination and the effect of pre-schema period. The pictures related to their families that children draw can be used a tool for specifying the effects of social environment on children. We must remember that each child is a family. This study is prepared on the purpose of making sense of children's family lives with the pictures that children at the age of 4-7 draw.
