R134a akışkanlı klasik soğutma sisteminde genleşme işi geri kazanımı için, genleşme valfi yerine ejektörün genleştirici olarak kullanılabilirliği deneysel olarak araştırıldı. Karışma odası giriş kesitine göre ileri ve geri hareket edebilen primer lüleli ejektör tasarlanarak primer lülenin optimum konum araştırması yapıldı. Aynı dış ortam şartlarında ve aynı soğutma kapasitesinde klasik ve ejektörlü sistemin soğutma performans katsayısı ve ekserji verimi karşılaştırıldı. Ayrıca, tahrik lülesi boğaz çapının sistem performansı üzerine etkisi incelendi. Araştırılan çalışma sahasında, evaporatördeki basınç düşüşünün evaporatör girişinde akışkanın kuruluk derecesine bağlı olarak, ejektörlü sistemde yok denecek kadar az iken klasik sistemde 133,7 kPa'a kadar ulaştığı tespit edildi. Klasik sisteme göre ejektör genleştiricili sistemin COP'u % 5 ila % 14,2 arasında, ekserji verimi ise % 6,6 ila % 11,2 arasında daha yüksek elde edildi. Ejektör veriminin çalışma şartına bağlı olarak % 14 ila % 42 arasında değiştiği bulundu. Araştırılan sahada, sistem performansını maksimum yapan bir optimum tahrik lülesi çapı elde edildi. Ayrıca araştırılan deney şartlarında, ejektörlü sistemde karışma odası girişine göre primer lüle konumunun COP üzerine etkisinin ±% 1'den daha az olduğu belirlendi.
Using of ejector as an expansion device instead of an expansion valve for expansion work recovery in the R134a conventional refrigeration system was experimentally investigated. The ejector with a primary nozzle that could be moved axially towards the mixing chamber was designed and its optimum position analysis for the primary nozzle was carried out. The coefficient of cooling performance (COP) and the exergy efficiency for both the basic and ejector expander refrigeration cycles (EERC) were experimentally investigated under the same external conditions and cooling capacity. It was observed that, while the evaporator pressure drop depending on vapor quality at the evaporator inlet in the EERC was almost negligible, it rose to as far as 133.7 kPa in the basic system in the investigated operating field. The coefficient of performance was higher than in the basic system by 5% to 14.2%, while the exergy efficiency values were 6.6% to 11.2% higher than in the conventional system. Depending on the operating conditions, it was found that, the efficiency of the ejector varied between 14% and 42%. In the studied area, an optimum nozzle diameter, which maximized the system performance, was obtained. Under the experimental conditions, it was also determined that the influence of the location of the primary nozzle on the COP value in the EERC was less by ±1% with respect to the mixing chamber entrance.
