"Sanal Topluluklardaki Sosyal Ağlarda Sosyalleşme ve Güven Sorunsalı: Ereğli Örneği" adlı çalışma, sanal ağların internet kullanıcılarının sosyal hayatlarındaki yerini araştırırken, bireylerin bu ortamlardaki sosyalleşme eğilimini ve bu ortamlara dönük güven algısını da irdelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Bu bağlamda öncelikle medya tanımına, Türkiye'deki tarihsel süreci ile yer verilmiştir. Ardından sosyal medyanın ne olduğu hatırlatılarak kapsamı ve türleri ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra bir online topluluk türü olarak sosyal ağ siteleri tanımlanarak, sosyal ağların yapısı ve sosyal ağ sitelerinin gelişimi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın yöntemi, tarama modelidir. Araştırmanın evreni ise, Konya İli'nin Ereğli İlçesinde ikamet eden bireylerdir. Çalışma evreni, bu ilçede bulunan kişiler arasından tesadüfî küme örnekleme yoluyla seçilmiştir. Bireylerin; cinsiyet, eğitim, medeni durum, ekonomik durum gibi kişisel ve toplumsal özellikleri ile söz konusu sosyal ağların kullanımı arasındaki ilişkilerin bağı tespit edilmek istenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular şu şekilde özetlenebilir: Katılımcılarımızın, incelediğimiz değişkenlerinin internet kullanıp kullanmama durumları üzerinde etken olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Değişkenlerdeki farklılıkların sosyal ağların herhangi birini kullanma durumu üzerinde farklı sonuçlar doğurduğu saptanmıştır. Bulgular, incelediğimiz değişken farklılıklarının, sosyal ağları kullanma amaçları üzerinde etken olmadığını ispatlamıştır. Araştırmada, farklı değişkenlerin sosyal ağlarda gerçek ismi kullanıp kullanmama durumu üzerinde kuvvetli bir etken olmadığı sonuçlanmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcıların, cinsiyet ve öğrenim düzeyi değişkenleri ile sosyal ağlarda tanıştıkları kişilerle gerçek hayatta görüşüp görüşmeme durumu arasında kuvvetli bir bağ bulunmazken; medeni durum ve aylık gelir değişkeni arasında etken bir rabıta tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada, incelediğimiz değişkenlerin katılımcılarımızın sanal ortamlarda evlenmeye yönelik fikirlerinin biçimlenmesinde kuvvetli bir etken olmadığı sonuçlanmıştır. Sanal ortamların, toplumsal değerleri olumsuz yönde etkileyip etkilemeyeceğinin değerlendirilmesinde, incelenen değişkenlerin önemli bir faktör olmadığı sonucu çıkmıştır.
Socializing on social networks in virtual communities and trust issue: The study named Ereğli Sample researches about the place of virtual networks on internet users social lives and aims to examine socializing tendency on these environments and trust perception for these environments. Concordantly, especially definition of media was given place with its historical process in Turkey. Then, the meaning of social media was reminded and its types were mentioned. Later, social network sites as online communities were specified and structure of social networks were examined as well as developments of social network sites. The method of the study is scanning model. The population of the study consists of individuals dwelling in Ereğli district of Konya city. The population was selected via random cluster sampling among the individuals. It was targeted to determine the relation between personal features like the sex, education, marital status, economic situation and social situation with the usage of social networks in question. Findings gained from the study can be summarized as below; It was concluded that our participants variables were factors on using or not using internet situations. Differences in variables were determined to have caused different results on using one of social networks situation. Findings proved that variable differences that we examined were not effective upon aims of using social networks . In the study, it was concluded that different variables were not a strong factor on using or not using the real name on social networks situation. In the study, while no strong relation between sex, education level variables and seeing or not seeing in real life met on social networks situation was found; an effective connection between marital status, monthly income variables was retained. In the study, examined variables were concluded with the fact that ideas forming about getting married via virtual environments was not a strong factor. Examined variables about whether virtual environments will affect social values in negative ways were not a significantly effective factor.
