Yabancı dil öğretiminde genel becerilerin kazandırılması

Abstract

Yabancı dil öğretiminde bazı temel becerilerin kazandırılması gerekir. Bu becerilerin kazandırılması esnasında da dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlar mevcuttur. Ayrıca bu becerilerin ediniminde bir yöntem izlenmelidir. Rast gele ya da yöntemsiz yabancı dil öğretimi, harcanan zaman kaybı ve bo§Una bir çabadan ibaret olacaktır. Bu çalışmada "Dinleme ve Algılama", "Konuşma ve Telaffuz", "Kelime Öğrenme", "Okuma" ve "Yazma" gibi temel becerilerin kazandırılması konusunda uyulması gereken kural ve uygulanması gereken metotları irdeledik. Farklı fonolojik yapısı olduğu için, yabancı dili öğrenci dinlerken algılamada sorunlarla kar§ı aşmaktadır. Seslerin farklı gösterilmesi ve farklı telaffuz edilmesi, konuşma ve telaffuzda bazı güçlüklerle kar§ılaşmamıza neden olmaktad r. Kelime hazinesini geliştinnek de başlıca bir sorundur yabancı dil öğreniminde . Anlayarak doğru okuma ve yazma öğretimi de üzerinde durulan ususlardır. Bu çalışmada, yabancı dil öğretimindeki becerilerin geliştirilmesini engelleyen sebepler belirlenerek, bu sebeplerin ortadan kaldırılması veya en aza indirilmesi, yabancı dilin akıcı ve doğru bir şekilde öğrenilmesi doğrultusunda sınıfta ve sımf dışında yapılması gereken çalışmalar ve izlenmesi gereken yöntemler üzerinde durulmuştur. Yabancı dil öğrenimindeki temel becerilerin geliştirilmesi tek tek ele alınarak çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.

The language teaching realized at random or without any method will be of no use and also time wasting. in this work, we study the rules to be obeyed and the methods to b~ followed about the acquisition of such skills as "Listening and Perception skills", "Speaking and Pronunciation skills", "Vocabulary Leaming Skills", "Reading Skills'' and "Writing Skills". The learner meets problems in perception while listening as the foreign language has a different phonological structure. The fact that the pronunciation of the letters, thus the words, is distinct results in our encountering some difficulties with speaking and pronouncing. in language learning, improvement of vocabulary is essentially a problem. We also slress on such subjects as reading comprehension and teaching effective writing. in this work, we state that the obstacles on the way to learning a foreign language should be discovered and completely excluded or brought down to minimum. The efforts to teach a foreign language both in the class and outside the classroom environment and the methods to be followed in order to materialize the leaming are also stressed. The development of f undamental skills in leaming a foreign language is dealt with and some solutions are offered concerning this subject.
