Cemil Meriç'in sosyoloji tasavvuru

Abstract

Son dönem Türk düşüncesinin önemli isimlerinden biri olan Cemil Meriç, sosyolog olmamasına karsın sosyoloji ile yakından ilgilenmiştir. Özellikle sosyolojik düşünce, sosyologlar ve sosyolojinin durumu, onun yazılarında yer almaktadır. Meriç, sosyolojiye eleştirel yaklaşmaktadır. Sosyolojinin bilimsel yönünden çok düşüncel yönüne vurgu yapmaktadır. Bu makale, Meriç’in sosyoloji tasavvurunu betimleyici ve eleştirel bir tarzda okumayı denemektedir.

Recently named as one of the most prominent Turkish sociologists, Korkut Tuna has been isterested in various sociological domain. His main interest is city and urban sociology. Especially, Tuna has given significant importance over the rise of cities, distribution, and their historical models. Furthermore, he points out the forms and contents of urbanization in modern times. This article provides a descriptive analysis of his studies of urban sociology and contribution in that field.
