Türkçülük ve Turancılık, Meşrutiyet dönemi Türk edebiyatını şekillendiren en önemli
ideolojidir. Bu ideolojinin etkisi ile yazılan roman ve hikayelerde Türkçü kahramanlar bir
şekilde Türkistan’la irtibata geçer. Bu irtibat neticesinde Türkistan coğrafyası siyasi,
ekonomik, coğrafi ve kültürel özellikleri ile roman ve hikayelerin arka planını teşkil eder.
Yazarlar, Türkistan’ı tarihi/ütopik roman/hikaye kurgusu içinde ya da güncel siyasi olayları
romanın merkezine koyarak işlerler. İdeolojik gayelerle yazılan ve dönemin siyasi sürecinin
etkisinde şekillenen bu eserlerin çoğunda didaktizm dikkati çeker. Bu eserlerde, Doğu
Türkleri ile Batı Türkleri arasındaki dil, din, milliyet birliği vurgulanırken genellikle Turancılık
ideali savunulur. Yazarlar tarafında Osmanlı Türklerinin Türkistan’daki Türklere yardım
elini uzatması tavsiye edilir. Bu bağlamda, roman ve hikayelerde Türkistan’a giden ve bu
coğrafyadaki Türkler için çalışan tiplemeler oluşturulur.
Turkism and pan-Turanism are the most significant ideologies that shaped the
period of Constitutional Monarchy. Turkish heroes in the narratives and novels, which were
written under the influence of this ideology, somehow come into contact with Turkistan. As
a consequence of this interaction, the Turkistan geography with its political, economic,
geographical and cultural features makes up the background of novels and narratives. The
authors deal with Turkistan by placing it within the center of historical/utopic
novel/narrative fiction or current political events. Didactics draws our attention to the
majority of these works of art which have been written with certain ideological aims and
were formed under the influence of the political process of the period. While focusing on
the solidarity of language, religion, unity of nation among the Eastern and Western Turks,
ideal of pan-Turanism is supported in general. The authors suggest the Ottoman Turks to
extend their helping hands to the Turks in the Turkistan. In this context, there are types of
people who work for the Turks, who go to Turkistan in the novels and narratives.
