Klasik şiirimizde Farsça'dan dilimize geçmiş olan "carub" kelimesi ile ifade edilen
süpürge, şairlerimiz tarafından çeşitli tasawurlar içinde ele alınır. Süpürge imgesi,
beyitlerde bazen aşığın durumunu dile getiımek, bazen de sevgilinin veya övülenin bir
vasfını anlatmak üzere kullanılır.
Bu çalışmada çeşitli divanların taranmasıyla elde edilen "carub" (süpürge} kelimesi
ve imgesi ile ilgili dil malzemesi hakkında bilgi verilerek söz konusu unsurun klasik Türk
şiirinde kullanılış biçimleri üzerinde durulacaktır.
In the Turkish classical poem, the word of 11carub" borrowed from Persian, was used
in varie~ of imagination by many poets. The image of "carub" which means broom .in
English, is sometimes used to express the situation of the lover, and sometimes the feature
of the beloved or the one who is praised.
In this study, the linguistic properties of the word of cAruh (broom) foıınd aut from
many diwans will be explained and the characteritics of its usege in Turkish classical poem
will be considered.
