08.03.1743 yılında “Leipzig’de dogmus ve 11.01.1794 yılında
Braunschweig’da ölmüs olan Jakob Mauvillon 18. yüzyılın ilginç şahsiyetlerinden
birisidir. Dönemin din ve felsefe ilişkileri tartışmalarından uzak kalmayarak
tamamen bu konuya ayrılmış bir eser kaleme almıştır; “Das einzige wahre System
der christlichen Religion”. Eseri, sistematik bir yapıya sahip görünmüyorsa da,
teolojik merkezli bir din kritiği ve Hristiyanlık eleştirisinden hareket eden bir din
felsefesi olarak tanımlanabilir. Bu açıdan Jakob Mauvillon’un özelde Hristiyanlık,
genelde de din hakkındaki görüşlerini bu eserini merkeze alarak analiz edip,
Türkiye’deki felsefi düşünceye olası katkılarını ortaya koymayı hedeflemekteyiz.
Jakob Mauvillion, who was born on March 08, 1743 and died on January
11, 1794, was one of the interesting figures of the 18th century. He was attracted
by religious and philosophical discussions and thus authored a book titled “Das
einzige wahre System der christlichen Religion”, which exclusively deals with such
issues. Although the book does not seem to have a systematic approach, it could
be described as a theology-based critique of religion and philosophy of religion
stemming from Christianity. The aim of the present study is to present Jakob
Mauvillon's opinion regarding Christianity in particular, and religion in general,
based on detailed analysis of his book and its possible contributions to philosophy
in Turkey.
