Araştnma insanoğlunun yeryüzündeki varlığından itibaren varolan bir olgudur. Eski çağlarda
araştınna, sistemsiz, doğa ile baş edebilme ve yaşama mücadelesi için aracı bir konumdayken;
günümüzde ise, bilimsel bir nitelik kazanmış olup, sistematik yollarla elde edilmekle ve insanlığın daha
rahat bir yaşam sürmesi amacıyla ilkçağlardan günümüze kadar süregelmektedir. Bilimsel
araştırmaların gerekliliği ve önemi kuşku götürmez bir gerçektir, fakat bilimsel araştırmalarda elde
edilen verilere ulaşma ve sonuçlann raporlaştırılması süreci karşımıza etik kavramını çıkannaktadır .
Bilimsel araştırmalarda etik, araştırmanın tüm aşamalarında uyulması gereken standartlcırı (doğru -
yanlış, yapılabilir- yapılamaz vb.} ortaya koyması açısından çok önemlidir.
Bu çalışmada, "bilimsel araştınnada etik", konusu çerçevesinde; 'elik' ve 'araştırma etiği'
kavramları, araştınna etiği modelleri, araştırma etiğinin gelişim süreci, etik dışı davranışların neler
olduğu, nedenleri, önlenmesi, buna karşı yapılması gerekenler, elektronik araştırma etiği standartları,
araştınnalarda denek kullanımı ve son olarak da, bilimsel araştırmalarda etik dışı davranışlara dair
örnek olaylara değinilmiştir.._
. Research is an existing fact since the human being's dwelling in the Earth. Whereas the
researches in the old ages were in a mediator position unsystematically just to survive and struggle
against difficulties in the nature, in today's world researches have gained a scientific qualifica1ion. They
are obtained through systematic ways and have continued ta exist from the Ancient times to today to
enable to lead a more comfortable life. The necessity and importance of scientific researches is an
unquestionable fact. However, the process of reaching the data provided in scientific researches and
their being reported procss cause us to face the concept of 'ethic'. ln scientific researches, ethic is
elaborate significantly in tenns of its bringing about some slandards (such as right-wrong, applicable,
unapplicable) which are supposed ta be confonned throughout all lhe stages of researches.
in this study what has been referred within the frame of 'ethic in scientific research' is 'ethic', and
'research ethic' concepts, 'research ethic models', development process of research ethic , whal thc
scientific misconduct are, their reasons and how they can be prevented, what can be done against
them, electronic reserach elhic standards, using subjet in research and finally case sludies about
scientific misconduct in research.
