Bu çalışmada, tek silindirli Beta tipi bir Stirling motoru imal edilmiştir. Motordaki yer değiştirme pistonu termal bariyer kaplama malzemesi olan Zirkonyum Oksit (Zirkonya) ile kaplanmış daha sonra termal bariyer kaplamanın etkileri motor performans testleri ile belirlenerek grafik şeklinde hazırlanmıştır. Motor performans testleri, 800–900–1000 °C fırın sıcaklığında yapılmıştır. Çalışma akışkanı helyum gazıdır. Şarj basıncı 3,0 ile 4,0 bar arasında 0,5 bar aralıklarla belirlenmiştir. Kaplamalı piston için maksimum güç, 1000 °C‘de, 3,5 bar basınçta ve 900 1/min motor devrinde 83,12 W ve kaplamasız piston için maksimum güç ise, 1000 °C‘de, 3,5 bar basınçta ve 800 1/min motor devrinde 55,68 W olarak ölçülmüştür.
β (Beta) type Stirling Engine which is single cylinder was manufactured. Displacer piston was covered by Zirconia, which is thermal barrier material.The effect of thermal barrier coating was determined by performance tests and the results have been presented in the form of graphics within this article. The performance tests were realizaed at the 800-900-1000 0C furnace temperature. Working fluit was designed as hellium. The value of charge pressures have been measured from 3.0 bar to 4.0 bar with 0.5 bar increment at each test section. The test engine has been used as the operating material and covered displacer piston has been placed has obtained maximum output power at the 1000 0C heater temperature, 900 1/min engine speed and 3.5 bar charge pressure as 83.12 W and the test engine for which uncovered displacer piston has been placed has obtained maximum output power at the 1000 0C heater temperature, 800 1/min engine speed and 3.5 bar charge pressure as 55.68 W.
