As the competition between the organizations increase, the organizations are no longer able to create differentiation in product and service that they are trying to find new ways to create difference. Abstract values become more important than material sources, in this context intangible values are much more important than anything, and the most important of these are 'Corporate Reputation' and 'Service Quality'. In parallel with the corporate social responsibility of the organization, the corporate reputation and its management correlated with some components such as corporate social responsibility, trust in organization, relations with shareholders and service quality is an issue that worth stressing (Sykes 2002). Therefore, the organizations that have a vision try to avoid harmful effects of possible bad announce proactively. Corporate Reputation is considered as a good tool to achieve this goal. In that, reputation is a versatile component that focus on what and how is being done at organizations and depends upon the perception of shareholders'experiences (Bennet and Kottasz 2000). When the studies by different scholars on defining the corporate reputation and evaluating are investigated, it is seen that the studies mostly focus on more than one component and use these components in evaluating, too (Fombrun 1998). At this point, while the managers are trying to create the needed power through bringing the components of reputation into the forefront, they also focus on perceived service quality, too. Therefore, revealing the perception of customers about corporate reputation components and service quality will help the managers who undertakes the responsibility in corporate reputation to find an answer for which basis they will create corporate values, missions and strategies. In particular, corporate reputation is important to be addresses in health service sector. As, the main point in this service is human health, how the customers perceive reputation and service quality becomes important. The frequency and content demanded from health sector is affected by the management and staff quality of organization, whether the service is reliable or not, the effectiveness of the communication in the environment and social responsibility consciousness towards society. In the light of this information, our aim is to determine whether there is a difference between the effects of corporate reputation in perceived service quality at hospitals and the perceived service quality by the customers through comparing public and private hospitals.
