Sarı, Merve
Although originally folk and fairy tales belonged to female story-tellers who had composed these tales, their hold on the stories was gradually lost due to the rising interest of writers like Perrault and the Grimms in these tales. While putting these narratives down, male authors never simply wrote these tales down as they heard them but adapted them in a certain way to promote their patriarchal ideologies through these texts. In the last quarter of the twentieth century, however, postmodern writers, relying on intertextuality and the fantastic challenged the ancient lore, subsequently re-writing and questioning the reliability of these so-called “original” tales. Particularly female authors writing in the postmodern tradition challenged the central by replacing it with the peripheral, through their employment of such techniques as irony, satire, parody and pastiche. Among these writers, Scottish poetess Liz Lochhead stands out with her attempt to recover the “absent” voices in fairy tales. Re-writing the fairy tales of the Grimm Brothers from a female perspective in The Grimm Sisters (1981), Lochhead via her poems subverts the role of the traditionally silent part attributed to women, while voicing the concerns of women as story-tellers, mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, step-mothers, hags and the “other” women. In this regard, the aim of this article is to discuss the role of postmodern techniques and the fantastic in enabling Lochhead to subvert the conventional roles ascribed to women in her The Grimm Sisters and re-write the contemporary feminine experience as it is perceived and experienced by women per se.; Aslen halk hikâyeleri ve peri masalları bu eserleri yaratmış kadın hikâye anlatıcılarına ait olmasına rağmen kadınların hikâyeler üzerindeki tekeli Perrault ve Grimm kardeşler gibi isimlerin hikâyelere gösterdikleri ilgiyle giderek yok olmuştur.
bağlamda, bu makalenin amacı postmodern teknikler ve fantastiğin Lochhead’in The Grimm

Bryony Lavery is an important figure in British feminist drama. She has been noted by critics for her unconventional theatrical methods and themes. Her Frozen (1998) is an anti-paedophiliac play that deals with a psychiatrist who tries to investigate the motives of a paedophile. Investigations into the past of the sexual predator blur the lines between the victim and the victimiser, and the acts of forgiving by the wronged family challenge conventional motifs of revenge. Lavery’s use of black and dark comedy further challenges conventional ways of dealing with such serious matters. Therefore, by presenting the psychosexual history of the sexual predator in Bryony Lavery’s Frozen, this article will analyse the social and psychological reasons behind sexual abuse in the play, and discuss Lavery’s unconventional poetics of anti-paedophilia; Bryony Lavery, İngiliz feminist tiyatrosu için önemli bir figürdür.

Halkbiliminin inceleme alanına giren her ürün aslında ait olduğu milletin; hayata bakışını, algısını, felsefesini, inancını, müziğini, estetik anlayışını, topyekûn kültürel kodlarını taşıyıp yansıtmaktadır. Çalışmada, elde edilen veriler, ‘toplumsal bellek’-‘kültürel bellek’ ekseninde değerlendirilerek, atasözlerinin kız-kadın kimliğinin inşası ve algılanması bakımından taşıdığı mesajlar ile toplumun bilinçaltına etki ediş şekli çeşitli açılardan irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır.; Every nation has its cultural codes that are present in their social lives. These codes have hidden functions that manipulate and manage social perception since the earliest times. Every product that belongs to the field of study of folklore actually is about the nation; reflects the gaze of life, perception, philosophy, belief, music, sense of aesthetics, and total cultural codes. However, it is thought that proverbs, the product of oral literature, have a
more prominent function in relation to the influence o f s ocial i dentity c onstruction a nd
social perception than the others do. Proverbs that turned over into the experiences that
have occurred since ancient times, came up bearing profit of the socio-cultural environment
and acting as reflecting social psychology in which the ancestors lived. Due to this reason,
in the study, a topic with a focus on 'women' and 'women's perception' was chosen among
the many points on which the proverbs can be examined. Thus, in Turkish culture, girls
(virginity) and female perception are always p resent in t he adventure of t ransition from a
matriarchal structure to a patriarchal structure. The woman's position and the woman's
perception have changed in the social life and this evolution has also effected the proverbs.
From this point of view starting from the earliest sources, the proverbial books, compilation
literature was reviewed and proverbs related to the topic were determined. In the study, all
the obtained data were evaluated on the basis of 'social memory' - 'cultural memory' and it
was attempted to examine how the messages carried by the proverbs affect the
consciousness of the society in the development of girl-women identity.

As it promotes communication and interaction, the use of Web 2.0 tools has gradually
